If your desired check-in date for the Kalalau campsite is in the next 90 days, we can set up a monitoring service for you. We are so sure we can help you, that we are going to issue a refund* (see details on disclaimer 1) of your order if we don't send you at least one alert, that's how serious we are ;)

How it works: When people cancel their camping permits, they become available again on camping.ehawaii.gov and this can happen at any time of the day. Once you place your order with us, you will specify your desired check-in and check-out dates. We'll start monitoring the website every 5 minutes and if we find available permits matching any of the dates you selected, you'll receive an email right away. Then, you just have to log in to camping.ehawaii.gov and book your permit.

In case you are curious about how likely it is for you to receive at least one notification, our historical average of customers notified is around 80%, so 8 out of 10 people might have a chance to get a permit. But you should keep your expectations low given there are many circumstances for a cancellation to happen and be suitable for your needs, so there is the luck factor playing out here.

Once your order is placed, we'll reach out via email to collect your desired dates.

* DISCLAIMER 1: No refunds will be issued if your check-in date is in the next 15 days from your order + form submission or you are monitoring 3 nights or less. In this case, chances of finding a permit are lower and around 40%. However, if it's 16 days or more (and you are monitoring more than 3 nights), we'll issue a refund if you don't receive at least one alert of a spot available.
