Monitor cancellations & book the Kalalau trail permit for me

Kalalau Valley - Kalalau Trail - Kalalau Camping Permit - GoKalalau

Do you know that our monitoring service ends up notifying around 82% of our customers? This is pretty good, however, only about 50% end up buying a permit, and that's pretty bad.

Kalalau permits sell super fast so if we don't act right away after we get notified, it's likely we won't get the permit. Sometimes, these notifications might show up 2AM and we are sleeping, other times you are busy with something else and was not able to follow up. Anyways, there are many reasons why someone would not be able to book the permit even though we notified them. Due to that GoKalalau decided to act and help you with a new service.

Now you can upgrade your monitoring service and have the automatic booking! We listened to the community, what you were asking for, and created this new great service! Instead us sending you a notification about a permit available, we simply go ahead and book it for you right away. No hassle, no rushing, no stress :)

How does it work?

  • This operates similarly to our existing 90+ day booking service. You simply fill out a form with all the required permit information
  • We'll also ask minimum number of nights and hikers you want in your party, along with the credit card information so the permit can be issued under your name
  • At this point you are all set. Fingers crossed something will show up for you, and if it does, GoKalalau will be the first one to book it!

How much are you charging for this service?

  • Our fee is $60.00 USD per hiker
  • If we don't find your permit we'll issue a partial refund to you. Our non-refundable fee is a total of $20.00 USD (in total, not per hiker)
  • In case we do find the permit, your credit card will be charged the permit costs from eHawaii. You can observe the expected eHawaii permit costs on this table in our website

DISCLAIMER 1: no refund on cancellations after the permit is successfully purchased on camping.ehawaii.gov. The permit will be available in your own profile on camping.ehawaii.gov. We'll also not refund our fee in case your credit card gets declined during the booking process.

DISCLAIMER 2: the Kalalau Trail is an experts only hike. Plan ahead and know what to expect. Do not attempt if you are not experienced.
